Adam Peace was Roman Reigns’ opponent for the Royal Rumble match, and then the card was subject to change. Pearce wanted to send out his gratitude for those fans who really wanted to see him wrestle at the Royal Rumble.
The WWE producer tweeted out his thanks to fans. He said that pro wrestling fans continue to amaze him with their support, but he’s “not medically cleared” to compete.
A note of #gratitude to those that supported the idea of seeing me face Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble. Wrestling fans have amazed me for 25+ years and now is no different. That said, some things just aren’t meant to be, and “not medically cleared” is a status I wish on no one.
Kevin Owens will wrestle Roman Reigns in that last man standing match instead. It will likely be a brutal encounter on January 31st. Adam Pearce, a former five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, had a lot of fans intrigued about the possibility of him facing the Tribal Chief. That wasn’t really in the plan, but Pearce immensely appreciates the gesture.
