WWE is presenting the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 31st, and they have plenty of things to lock into place. There is also a lot of discussion going on about this year’s Royal Rumble matches.

We previously reported that at this time, there is no plan for NXT Superstars to be a part of the Royal Rumble match. They have a lot of options on the table, but right now NXT isn’t in play.

Ringside News was further told that everything is being discussed, “even things that shouldn’t be discussed, like the concept of the Rumble match itself.” This year could be a very interesting experience for the Royal Rumble in the ThunderDome.

WWE won’t have any live fans in Tropicana Field for the Royal Rumble this year. There were never any plans to change their closed set policy. Removing the ThunderDome setup for one night would also be a huge undertaking. The company can also do whatever they want in regards to how they shoot things.

Right now WWE is discussing a ton of options, but they haven’t nailed anything down. The entrants are slowly being announced as The Miz just recently declared his entry.
