Update: WWE has responded to this matter. They did not provide a reason for removal, but they did promise that it will be re-posted.
Original: WWE has thousands of hours worth of content available on the WWE Network. That content got shorter by just over four hours, because WrestleMania 24 is no longer available.
Fans who want to run through every WrestleMania on the road to WrestleMania 37 will have to skip 24 unless they have it on DVD already. The company has taken the entire pay-per-view off their WWE Network streaming service.
This pay-per-view featured Big Show vs Floyd Mayweather. Some believe that this removal is due to a lawsuit that was filed in 2013. As TMZ reported, Anthony Lawrence Dash sued Mayweather over the entrance music he used at WrestleMania. Money Mayweather used a track that Dash said contained his beats that were used without permission.
WrestleMania 24 was a big night with Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels in The Nature Boy’s final WWE match. The Undertaker vs Edge also capped off the evening.
The event is not available anymore. It will be interesting to see if WWE posts it again, and if Floyd Mayweather’s entrance music gets an edit.
