In his AEW Debut, Brodie Lee was revealed as the leader of The Dark Order, known simply as The Exalted One. Lee debuted in March of last year, to the shock of the entire pro wrestling world.
Cody Rhodes recently spoke on the Talk is Jericho podcast, where he talked about Brodie Lee’s career in AEW.
During the podcast, Rhodes revealed what AEW had originally planned for Brodie Lee’s debut in the company. Rhodes mentioned that Lee was supposed to debut in front of his hometown crowd of Rochester, but that plan was nixed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rhodes also noted that Brodie Lee was supposed to “come up out of the ramp like the monster” in the classic sitcom called “The Munsters.”
“That guy, his entire AEW career was in this building, in Daily’s Place. Think about that. He never appeared in front of a crowd except for our small crowds here. The one that really pisses us off is that Rochester show. I don’t know if anyone knows this, but he was going to come up out of the ramp like the monster in ‘The Munsters’.”
Brodie Lee’s contributions to the pro wrestling world will never be forgotten and his life will continue to be celebrated by the fans and wrestlers alike.
