The Miz cashed in the Money in the Bank contract at WWE TLC, but that didn’t count. He was awarded the briefcase once again after it was determined that John Morrison handing off the MITB contract meant the cash-in was void. That doesn’t make much sense, especially to Jimmy Korderas.
The former WWE referee jumped on Twitter for another Reffin Rant this morning. He wasn’t happy about how WWE decided to erase The Miz’s cash-in, but he was more upset about how the message was delivered.
Korderas said that Adam Pearce, while he’s done a fine job, should be made into a real General Manager. He also called for the reinstatement of GMs for both brands.
“I said before that if he got it back I wouldn’t be happy. Watching it on RAW, I wasn’t as upset as I thought I’d be. As a matter of fact, watching it back I decided it’s not that bad.”
“What I’m more disappointed in though is Adam Pearce — and don’t get me wrong I like Adam Pearce. I love the fact that he’s on television, he’s very good in his role as official for WWE. What I’d like to see though is an authority figure, not just someone who comes off as someone who relays messages for the authority figure.”
Jimmy Korderas said that he would like to see it like it was in “the old days” where both RAW and SmackDown have their own General Managers. This was the case until December, 2018 when The McMahon Family did away with all authority figures and announced that the fans are the real authority.
We’ll have to see what 2021 brings, but The Miz will be turning the page to a new year as Mr. Money In The Bank.
