Ex WCW Star Claims WWE Snubbed Konnan For Political Reasons

The WWE Hall of Fame includes many names from pro wrestling history, but they couldn’t include everyone. Some are absent from the WWE Hall of Fame despite everything they’ve done for the industry.

During Taskmaster Talks with Kevin Sullivan, the former WCW star spoke about Konnan in a very favorable way. He praise Konnan for everything he’s done for the pro wrestling business. He also capped it off by claiming that Konnan isn’t in the WWE Hall of Fame due to pollical reasons.

“He had the first TripleMania. He took over Mexico. I think one of the tragedies of wrestling is that he is not in the Hall of Fame, not just as a performer, but as a very smart guy. I don’t understand how any major company doesn’t have him. How he is not in the Hall of Fame is beyond me. It must be political.”

We’ll have to see if WWE ever inducts Konnan into the Hall of Fame. They have a ton of options every year, but they continually pass up Konnan in the selection process.

It should also be noted that Vince McMahon is the final deciding factor about who he wants in the WWE Hall of Fame. Konnan never made him a ton of money, so he might not be too eager to give him an induction.
