Darby Allin Teases Tag Team Partners To Face FTR In AEW

Darby Allin is just getting started in AEW, and there are plenty of options for him. He wouldn’t mind getting a tag team going and winning AEW World Tag Team Title gold.

While speaking to WrestleTalk, Darby Allin said that he would love to face FTR in the ring. He feels like Jon Moxley would be a good partner for him, but Sting’s AEW arrival also presents another tempting opportunity.

“For a while there, I feel like it was me and Moxley. Anything that I can do to get in the ring with FTR, I’m game. I would like to do stuff with Sting, but where I gel wise, I don’t know probably Moxley… Hell, even me and Cody had something going there last week.”

When asked why he wants to face FTR, the AEW TNT Champion commented about how much he respect the Top Guys’ style. He would like to wrestle their style for a nice change of pace.

“I just like their style. I like everything. I just want to get in there and do something like that in today’s landscape when it’s kind of rare to be able to wrestle like that. It’s cool. I just wanna get in there and make moments.”

Dax Harwood also provided a comment about how much he respects Darby Allin. He also appreciates Allin because he knows how to sell. Selling is a lost art which Allin understands and appreciates.

I have so much respect for him. In a world where everyone is afraid of being different and going against the grain, he actually tries to be the opposite of what everyone else is. Plus, he loves selling. He’s one of the very few that gets it.

Darby Allin very well could find himself in an intense tag team rivalry with FTR. AEW has plenty of time to tell those stories, and it seems like FTR would be more than happy to work with Darby Allin as well.
