When Sting made his AEW debut a couple of weeks ago, several fans have been wondering if he will have a program with current TNT Champion Darby Allin as the two have quite a few similarities.
Allin was recently interviewed by SK Wrestling. Among various topics of discussion, he was asked about Sting. He was first asked whether he was a fan of Sting growing up. Here is what Allin said:
“I was a Sting fan, but I never watched WCW or any real, real wrestling like that back in the day, but when I’d go back and watch it, when I was a little older, Sting was one of those guys that captivated me as a performer. He has a lot of interesting traits in himself that I gravitated towards big time.”
AEW has former WCW wrestlers who are now managers for current wrestlers in the company. This includes the likes of Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and Jake Roberts. Allin was asked whether he is open to having Sting as his manager.
“Absolutely. But I don’t know what his intentions are. I don’t know if he wants to manage me. I don’t know if I’m manageable.
Allin is currently engaged in a feud with Team Taz. On the other hand it is not clear what AEW has planned for Sting. Perhaps fans might get to see the two working together in some capacity in the future.
