Heath Slater was released from WWE on April 15th, and then he eventually went to Impact Wrestling. He was injured during that match at Final Battle were he won a contract, but he’ll be back.

While speaking to The Ryback Show, Heath discussed the idea of possibly going back to WWE. He doesn’t know what the future will hold, but he’s not closing out the possibility that his path will lead him back to the company he was with for nearly a decade and a half.

“Man, it’s one of those things. Who knows what the future will tell? It’s one of things where if WWE wants a story from a man that can actually pull it off, yeah, it could be good. Then again, there’s history behind it and there’s real life history – friendships inside and outside of the ring.”

“It’s one of those things that there’s so much they could do and it could be very good. But then again, it’s one of those, who knows? I don’t know where I’m going to be in two years. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Would I do it? Yeah. Who knows?”

“If the time’s right and everything’s adding up, yeah. But then again, if the time’s not right, I might have to miss that boat.”

Heath Slater is the only member of 3MB who hasn’t gone out into the pro wrestling world after WWE, and then return to become a champion. His other two partners Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal were both released, and came back to become World Champions. We’ll have to see if the same road is ahead in Heath Slater’s future, but it wouldn’t be impossible to imagine that it’s a very strong possibility.
