Dax Harwood and Cash Wilder are a bit of a throwback team who obviously respects pro wrestling tradition. If a veteran has any advice for them, odds are they will take it. Some younger wrestlers might not be so eager to accept every critical word that comes their way.
Jim Ross recently spoke about how he doesn’t like a certain spot in pro wrestling. The spot he discussed involved wrestlers “grouping like quail” to catch a “leaping idiot” who never wins with the dive. That brought the ire from some AEW stars who didn’t appreciate being buried by the WWE Hall of Famer.
Dax Harwood sent out a tweet about younger wrestlers not taking veteran advice. He did not specifically reference Jim Ross, but the timing is rather convientant.
Imagine not listening to criticism from the men & women who’ve shaped our profession, and paved a road that allows you to make a living today; all because they hurt your feelings.
Harwood could have been talking about any number of veterans, because AEW has a few backstage willing to give advice. It’s always a good idea to listen to criticisms, even if it hurts your feelings. That’s one of the best ways to get better and learn from the mistakes of others.
