Chris Jericho Says He Almost Died At WWE TLC In Match Against DX

Chris Jericho knows that the pro wrestling ring can be a very unpredictable place. Le Champion recently saw a clip from 2009, and he had to comment.

The Big Show and Chris Jericho lost to DX on this day (December 13th) in 2009. 11 years ago, DX captured the WWE Tag Team Titles at TLC. That match was almost disastrous for JeriShow.

The finish involved Jericho standing on Big Show’s massive shoulders. Shawn Michaels hit a Superkick, and Jericho was supposed to go flying over the top rope and through a table. The problem was that they didn’t measure things properly at all. Y2J’s face went bouncing off the table.

When Jericho saw an animated gif from that match, he commented saying: “I almost died!”

Lance Storm chimed in and said: “Jesus, put that on the What the Hell was I thinking List.” We’re not sure what they were thinking either.

That spot at TLC 2009 obviously didn’t end the way he thought it would. At least The Million Viewer Man was able to get away to tell the tale of that scary spot.
