WrestleMania 37 will not be taking place in SoFi Stadium as they originally planned. Ringside News was first to report that those plans had changed. We welcome you to check out a comprehensive article detailing what really went on behind the scenes. The plan is to hold WrestleMania in Florida.

A story just came out from Wrestle Votes saying that WWE is going to land on a Roman Reigns and Goldberg match rather than The Tribal Chief vs The Rock. This was a bit of a surprise, but Goldberg also made it very clear on WWE The Bump that Roman Reigns is next.

According to Wrestling News, Vince McMahon wanted The Rock in LA. They desired the extra media attention. Since the event would be in LA, and The Rock would be featured, then that could mean easier mainstream coverage. Since WrestleMania is in Florida next year, WWE doesn’t know how many fans they will be able to get into the event. This is why the company went a different direction for Roman Reigns’ opponent.

“Vince wanted to do the match in L.A. to capitalize off the extra mainstream media buzz that would come with that match. More media outlets would attend the show because of the location and Vince wants to get as many eyes on Roman as possible.”

In our original report here at Ringside News, we said that WrestleMania 38 might go to LA, but that’s not a guarantee. If they are able to secure SoFi Stadium for WrestleMania in 2022, then The Rock might be in play to a greater extent. That is a very long way off and Dwayne Johnson has one commitment after another until well past that point.
