Impact Wrestling picked up a lot of viewers this week with Kenny Omega advertised for the program. They pulled an impressive overnight viewership number, but Impact is claiming a much higher figure than that.
The company sent out a press release today claiming that this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling topped 750,000 viewers. This is if you add in the original overnight number on AXS TV with their replays, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube social media platforms.
Scott D’Amore dropped a quote in the release where he spoke about how hard it is to differentiate between viewership nowadays. Impact Wrestling is claiming every pair of eyeballs they can for this week’s episode.
“It is hard to compare apples and oranges, and some digital media provide better watch-data than others, but we feel confident over 750,000 U.S.-based fans watched the episode in the first 24-hours and 1-million fans have clicked on the various highlights we’ve put out on social media.”
Impact Wrestling pulled in 221,000 viewers on AXS TV and ranked #96 in the top 150 shows of the night. They also scored a .08 in the 18-49 demographic. The company had over 50,000 viewers on Twitch at one point as well.
WWE NXT pulled in 659,000 viewers this week. If you add in all of the different ways that people watched Impact Wrestling this week, then the company is claiming almost 100,000 viewers more than that.
