Johnny Gargano Fires Back At Fan Who Accused Him Of Cheating

At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Johnny Gargano defeated Leon Ruff and Damian Priest in a triple threat match and became the new NXT North American Champion. He won the match after he received some assistance from individuals with ‘Scream’ masks. Austin Theory in particular helped him win the match as he made his shocking return.

Before the match kicked off, Gargano gave his support to his hometown team the Cleveland Browns as he congratulated them on their win. One fan did not take kindly to this and took a jab at Gargano on social media.

The fan claimed that unlike Johnny Gargano, the Browns did not use unfair means to win. Gargano noticed this comment and was offended by it. He gave a prompt reply as he explained why he did not cheat at all.

He stated that the match was a triple threat match, which meant there were no disqualifications. He said that he was not at fault for Damian Priest and Leon Ruff not having any friends.

Gargano is now a three-time NXT North American Champion and we will have to see how his current reign goes.
