AEW Seriously Considering Introducing Trios Tag Team Titles

AEW has a lot of thing going on, and a few factions dominate the roster. There are many three-person teams and they might get a title to fight for very soon.

During a media call to hype Winter Is Coming, the very special AEW Dynamite this week, Tony Khan was asked about introducing new trios titles. This is a subject that many AEW fans have brought up.

Khan said they are “seriously considering” the idea. He sounded more hopeful than not that we will see those titles eventually. This comes as no real surprise because Kenny Omega already said during the last Chris Jericho Cruise that he wanted to introduce the titles at the now-postponed next Jericho Cruise.

Tony Khan was very clear when he said that fans will not see new trios titles in AEW this year. It’s December, so that eliminates a lot of that possibility.

There is still hope that AEW could bring belts to Dynamite that will be defended in six-man tag team setup. Since Chikara closed their doors, AEW might eventually have their own King Of Trios situation.
