Daniel Bryan Has Significant Creative Control Over His Character’s Direction In WWE

Ringside News exclusively reported that Daniel Bryan received high praise backstage. He’s put in the work and is sitting on headsets to learn how Vince McMahon produces the shows. We have heard the opposite about another top Superstar who is on the writing team.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained how much pull Daniel Bryan has backstage. He said that Bryan has a lot of control over his character’s direction in the company. This likely caused his WWE Universal Title match against Roman Reigns to get pushed off to the Royal Rumble.

“When it comes to Daniel Bryan, a lot of what happens with him is very much up to him because he’s on creative and everything. A lot of things with him is very much how he wants it done.”

WWE was going to do a big Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan feud a couple of years ago, but they never got to it. Now Reigns and Bryan will happen, at least that is the plan. That match is being held off for Royal Rumble, and it’s very likely Bryan pushed for that match to take place during a higher profile event.
