WWE released a top executive from the company, and others could follow. This announcement was made today, but the release took place on Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
John Brody was fired from his position as Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sale and Partnership and Head of International. This was a division that fell under Stephanie McMahon’s responsibility in August.
PW Insider reports that more releases could be coming on a corporate level.
Brody was with WWE for close to six years and he worked as an advisor to WWE before joining the company full-time. It was noted that his resume says he was a “key member of the company’s Executive Committee responsible for providing strategic vision for WWE’s global Sales operations while also growing and expanding the company’s global media partnerships.”
A “significant portion” of Brody’s team was furloughed by WWE in April, and many were fired completely.
