Seth Rollins is set to take some time off from WWE, but he’s not going to be out of action for very long. He will miss a few weeks so he can be home with Becky Lynch as she gives birth to their baby.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Rollins will be out of action, and it is likely going to be for around 4 to 6 weeks in duration. He will be back, but WWE still had to wrap up his storylines in a hurry.
A match for Rollins against Murphy is slated for this week’s episode of SmackDown. He had a blow-off match against Rey Mysterio last week.
It is reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that those blow-off matches came out of nowhere with no advertising because this likely wasn’t an idea until the last-minute.
This has been known for at least a little while but the idea of his doing the blow-off match out of nowhere with no advertising with Mysterio is because of that, but the idea of not advertising it ahead of time is likely because they didn’t come up with the idea until the last minute given the entire show was rewritten.
Seth Rollins’ absence will give Rey and Dominik Mysterio time to continue their storyline with Aalyah and Murphy without the Messiah needing to be involved. We will have to wait and see if that program continues long enough to see Seth Rollins return and get involved once again in some respect.
