Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view included several big moments, especially during The Rock’s Impact Hall Of Fame induction of Ken Shamrock. There almost another big story during the event, but it couldn’t come together.

According to PW Insider, Impact Wrestling tried to get Kurt Angle to make his return to the company. This would have been a part of the Bound For Glory Event. At this time it’s unclear why the return didn’t happen, or what he would have done, but Angle is also very busy with his other business ventures.

Talks between Kurt Angle and Impact Wrestling stalled, and now they are apparently nonexistent. You never know if this could come together down the line.

Angle was released from his position with WWE as a producer during the pandemic. He returned to NXT to officiate Timothy Thatcher and Matt Riddle’s MMA style caged match, but he hasn’t been back since. He also turned down a role as Matt Riddle’s manager on the main roster.
