WWE didn’t test their Superstars for the novel coronavirus until there was an outbreak within the company. During that time, one Superstar did get tested for the virus, but it wasn’t at a WWE event at all.

According to Fightful Select, several WWE Superstars who visited Double Or Nothing in May received their first COVID-19 tests when entering All Elite Wrestling’s bubble. Prior to that they had never been given one.

This information apparently came up while discussing the subject of COVID-19 testing in AEW and their new protocols. Tony Khan recently stated that AEW tightened restrictions regarding AEW stars working indie events.

When discussing AEW COVID protocols with several AEW names, several told us that WWE stars visiting All Elite Wrestling for Double or Nothing in May actually claimed they got their first coronavirus tests from AEW the weekend of Double or Nothing, because otherwise they weren’t permitted at the events or functions.

WWE didn’t institute company-wide testing until June, but AEW was already doing that well ahead of Vince McMahon’s company.
