Drew McIntyre lost the WWE Title at Hell in a Cell. He won that title in front of zero live fans during WrestleMania 36, but what is the company planning for next year’s show of shows?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that there is still a thought that McIntyre could have a “major match” against Tyson Fury at the show of shows next year. That is far from being locked down at this point.

Both Fury and McIntyre have teased and pushed for this match. The pandemic nixed any chances of Tyson Fury making trip to the USA for any such confrontation.

Travel between the UK and United States isn’t impossible now, but it is inconvenient. It would be possible to pull off this match if they can work out a deal.

It was noted that “Fury has not committed to a date for that” as of this week. Saudi Arabia was also a likely location for Fury vs McIntyre because it would have been a huge payday. Any such Saudi Arabian events have also been postponed due to COVID-19.
