Cody Rhodes has given up his pursuit of two trademarks that he was trying to lock down, but WWE filed oppositions.

According to Heel By Nature, Cody filed trademarks for Slamboree and The Match Beyond on November 19th, 2019. WWE issued a notice of opposition on both of Cody’s filings.

WWE acquired those terms in 2001 when they purchased WCW. The company stated they owned those intellectual properties

Cody Rhodes had until October 31st to reply to WWE’s opposition. At that time he had the opportunity to state his case. Michael E Dockins, Cody’s attorney filed an “express abandonment” request on October 28th.
