Chelsea Green hasn’t wrestled since May 27th, and she wants to fix that. WWE isn’t really in any hurry to make that happen.
Green was called up to the WWE main roster in December, but she didn’t stay there. She was sent back to NXT for a short program with the Robert Stone Brand. She wasn’t the only person who was called up around that time as Vanessa Bourne was also called up in January, but never used.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Heyman called up others such as Arturo Ruas, a Superstar who was eventually inserted into RAW Underground.
Paul Heyman wanted to use Green and Bourne. Unfortunately, his tenure as executive director of RAW did not last. He was fired, and his projects were mostly forgotten about.
Some thought that Green and Bourne could have been in Retribution when the stable looked like an all female faction. That didn’t come to pass, and Jessi Kamea, who was also used in Retribution segments early on, also wasn’t called up.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Chelsea Green’s name was thrown around in the early planning sessions for the WWE Draft, but nothing came of that either. They discussed a lot of names, but nobody from NXT was called up during the Draft.
There is still hope for Green, Bourne, and Kamea on the main roster. Nothing is happening any time soon. It’s also never a good idea to encourage that kind of situation to happen in a speedy manner because we have all seen far too many plans fall apart.
