Cash Wheeler Says AEW Referees Aren’t Doing Their Jobs By Catching Them Cheating

FTR are AEW World Tag Team Champions, and they will achieve victory however they need to, even if that means they must bend the rules a bit.

While speaking to AEW Unrestricted podcast, FTR went into their heel tactics a bit. Cash Wheeler said that it’s not on them if the referee doesn’t stop them from cheating. That equates to them just not doing their job correctly.

“If we cheat in front of the referee, if Aubrey sees us cheat, the heat’s not on us. The heat’s on the referee. They’re not doing a good job. It’s all null and void. We don’t get the heat that we should be getting for breaking the rules. The referee gets heat for not doing their jobs correctly and the babyfaces get nothing out of it. The attention is drawn away from them now, and everything is directed to the referee. So if you’re going to do it, do it right so everybody comes out looking better than before.”

AEW will determine new #1 contenders for Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler’s titles this Wednesday on Dynamite. It seems that the Young Bucks are a favorites to get that spot, and they are also showing a new aggressive side which could make for a very interesting match.
