Bayley topped the PWI Top 100 Women’s Wrestlers of the year in 2020. This was a big accomplishment, and she believes that she has earned it.
While speaking to The PWI Podcast, Bayley was asked if she thinks that they got it right in naming her #1. Her answer was “hell yea.” Then the current SmackDown Women’s Champion went into how much she’s changed over the last year and proved all of her doubters wrong.
“Hell yea. I think it’s obvious that I made a major change late last year. I think for one, everybody thought it was going to fail. They thought I made the wrong decision and I couldn’t pull it off. I think I proved everyone wrong, especially with the craziness of what has been going on with the pandemic and not being able to perform in front of fans, which makes everything harder. But, I was still able to pull it off and use it to my advantage.”
Bayley is still the blue brand’s top female. She will face Sasha Banks at Hell In A Cell, and Banks is actually the betting favorite to win. We’ll have to see how WWE books the rest of Bayley’s 2020 and beyond, but she had a pretty great year so far all things considered.
