Roman Reigns won the WWE Universal Title at Payback, and he is set to defend that belt tonight on the season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown. He doesn’t believe that his challenger is worthy of that opportunity.

While speaking to CBS Sports, Roman Reigns stated that he doesn’t think Braun Strowman deserves another opportunity at the WWE Universal Title. He already beat Strowman when he took the championship in the first place.

“To be honest, I don’t think Braun Strowman deserves the opportunity. I beat him, I pinned him, I took the Universal Championship from him.”

Roman Reigns already has a Hell In A Cell match scheduled with Jey Uso on October 25th. That match will be an I Quit Match inside the unforgiving structure which will mark the first time that stipulation was added to such a gimmick match.

We’ll have to see how things pan out for The Monster Among Men as he faces the Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns might not be too thrilled about defending his title in such a way.
