Update: Kairi Sane has said that there was a misinterpretation in the translation. When translated to English the interview reads as follows:

Original: Kairi Sane is no longer in WWE as an active competitor, but she still considers herself a Superstar. She is back in Japan now, and working with WWE as an ambassador and trainer for the company.

While recently speaking to Tokyo Sports in an interview translated from Japanese, Kairi Sane didn’t have the greatest things to say about her overall time in America. She described her time living in the United States while working with WWE as the darkest years of her life.

Kairi It was the darkest three years in my life. Of course, this is my first time living abroad. I was able to get results, but it was a really difficult three years.

She said that her husband was supposed to quit his job and join her in the United States. That didn’t need to happen as she was able to return to Japan instead.

When it came to competing again, Kairi Sane gave some hope with her answer: “I will also support WWE promotion. There is a possibility of wrestling in Japan, and there is also a possibility of spot participation in the United States.”

We’ll have to see what is next for Kairi Sane. WWE was able to keep her under the company’s umbrella for now. She certainly seems very happy about her current location.
