Wade Barrett Reveals What Would Cause Him To Make WWE In-Ring Return

Wade Barrett returned to WWE, but he’s not competing in the ring. Barrett is a voice on NXT, but you can never say never in WWE.

While speaking with Digital Spy, Barrett said that if he did come back to the ring he would be “chasing the sunset” of his active career. He never became WWE Champion and he would have liked to have checked off that accomplishment. It a WWE Title run was a part of the deal Barrett might consider returning.

In truth if I was to come back as a full-time in-ring guy, I really would be chasing the sunset of my career. I don’t think there’s that many more years left in me. So the question is, what would I want to achieve?

The only thing I didn’t achieve in WWE that I always wanted to achieve was to become the WWE Champion, and that title is now held by an old friend of mine, Drew McIntyre. So taking him on for that title is something that certainly might tempt me back for a match or two.”

Wade Barrett isn’t likely coming back to the ring. It’s sort of a surprise he returned to WWE after he gave out so many indications that he was very happy away from Vince McMahon’s company while he enjoyed other endeavors.
