Road Warrior Animal passed away this week, and the world lost a true legend. The pro wrestling world mourned along with millions who he entertained for decades.

Animal passed away one day following his wedding anniversary. Animal and his wife were at a resort at the time of his passing. He was 60-years-old.

Bruce Mitchell said on PW Torch audio that animal was suffering from a couple of health issues prior to his passing. He was said to have been dealing with heart problems and kidney issues as well.

“I just really thought he was going to – he always looked healthy. And you can’t tell, I’m not a doctor and I don’t know any doctor that can look at someone and say health to it. Now looking back and understand and I’m not surprised that he had some heart issues, he had some kidney issues. We’ll talk about this too because he’s part of that generation that came up and really part of that Minnesota Gramma B’s (bar) generation and now you look [at who’s left] and you [see] Nikita Koloff and that’s about it that’s left and they paid such a price and there’s reasons why and choices they made.”
