The Rock Says WrestleMania Match Against Roman Reigns Makes Sense

Roman Reigns and The Rock have already toyed with the idea of facing each other at WrestleMania. That match seems to make even more sense now.

The Rock recently spoke with Hiram Garcia on ‘The Rock: Through the Lens.’ Dwayne Johnson uploaded a clip on his YouTube channel. On this clip, The Rock spoke about the possibility of facing Roman Reigns down the line.

He said that WrestleMania would be the perfect stage for such a match against cousins. It would also be a huge box office draw that would make sense.

You know, you and I have talked about this and it’s so funny how a lot of people always say, ‘Well if you were to go back to WrestleMania, who would be the opponent that you would face?’ It feels like the one that would make sense, right, would be Roman. In terms of box office draw [it would be huge].

The Rock is well aware of how WWE works. He’s not too eager to get into it, because he knows that he’d be roped into doing more than just one match.

Dwayne Johnson said he’d be “honored” to make a WWE return, but he would also be honored to raise Roman Reigns’ hand at the end of their match.

Well, I tell you this right now. I know how that works. I’m not going down that road because I know how that conversation goes. ‘Listen, here’s what we’re thinking. Roman beats you now at this WrestleMania, but listen. Before you guys say anything, then on the next one, that’s when…’ But you know what, I would be honored to not only share the ring with Roman and to go back to the WWE, but of course I would be honored to have him raise his hand on that one.

We’ll have to see if The Rock and WWE can work something out. He’s not saying “no” which is a good sign. There is a lot going on in WWE and Dwayne Johnson’s career. There is also a big question right now about where WrestleMania 37 will take place.
