Natalya and Lana have had one of the stranger partnerships on WWE programming in recent weeks, but to a certain extent, it does seem to be giving both women more of a purpose and direction.
Still, it hasn’t quite translated into on-screen success, as we saw last night when the pair were beaten in short order by The Riott Squad.
Despite the pinfall being on Lana, Natalya was the one who felt the need to apologize on social media.
I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you tonight, @LanaWWE. I’m so proud of how hard you are working to show that you belong. YOU are enough. Let’s keep fighting and proving to everyone that we matter. We didn’t come this far to only come this far. #WWERaw
There’s definitely a lot of intrigue behind what they could accomplish together but at this moment in time, there are just better options out there when it comes to deciding who will challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
In the current climate, however, they’ll only need to string a few more wins together in order to be back in contention.
