Ivar was injured on RAW as he took a dive to the outside that he’s done plenty of times before. He threw up the dreaded X on himself, and his time in that match was over. Now we have an update.

The Viking Raider sent out a heartfelt thank you to fans for their overwhelming support. It’s unclear how much time he will be out of action, but WWE confirmed he suffered a cervical injury.

Dave Meltzer noted on F4W Online that WWE has yet to determine if Ivar needs surgery. If Ivar does need surgery he will obviously be out of action for much longer. It is believed that the injury took place as his head hit Bobby Lashley during that dive to the outside.

Ivar promised that he will be back, and better than ever. Hopefully, his recuperation time won’t last too long. You can never rush a return to the ring from injury, but the Viking Raiders are incredibly valuable for the red brand’s tag team division.
