WWE released several people from the company on April 15th. Several of those people were furloughed at the time. They remained at home hoping for the company to call them back. This happened for several people over the last six to eight weeks, but the company started informing others that they are no longer needed.
It was previously reported that Gerald Brisco was told by Vince McMahon that he is no longer needed in WWE. Mike Rotunda was also told he is no longer needed in the company as their furloughs became full firings.
Fightful now reports that Sarah Stock, who worked as Sarita, was also informed that she is no longer employed by WWE. Now she can stop waiting for them to call her back from a furlough.
Sarah Stock was a producer for the company for several years after wrapping up her in-ring career. She was widely regarded for her abilities. It was a bit of a shock when she was initially furloughed. WWE simply doesn’t need as many producers around if they aren’t running live events.
We will continue to monitor this ongoing story. It is important to note that there were a lot of talented people released by WWE in this wave of cuts that fans will likely never know about because they worked behind the scenes and didn’t have a public presence.
