WWE was on the hunt for females referees last year. One woman who got a tryout offer is pretty glad that she wasn’t able to make it because she became NWA Women’s World Champion.

Thunder Rosa recently told Fightful that she has never been contacted by WWE or Impact about wrestling for them. She did have a WWE tryout in September, 2019, but it was to be a referee. She wasn’t able to make it, and she had some very good reasons.

Thunder Rosa explained that Hurricane Dorian swept in and cancelled her travel plans. The tryout would have gotten in the way of her training for an MMA fight anyway.

Looking back she does’t regret her decision to pass up a WWE tryout to be a referee. She is able to continue working her own schedule and is now in a big spotlight match at All Out against Hikaru Shida.
