WWE is bringing SmackDown to the ThunderDome and there are a lot of things that will likely impress viewers. The company added a little touch that shows they are interested in recreating a genuine experience for fans watching at home.
Virtual fans will surround the WWE ThunderDome. This will be like fans are actually in the building. Those at ringside will also appear as if they are seated with the best view of the house.
Pro Wrestling Sheet noted that WWE lowered the bottom row of fans who are at ringside. This will make it appear that fans are seated close to the ring with the barricade covering part of their faces.
The LED boards for the virtual crowd are in rows. There are A LOT of fans that can be shown on all the screens. One cool thing of note is that the front row boards are slightly lowered so only part of the ringside viewers face can be seen, just like how it would look on TV in real life.
WWE is doing a lot for the ThunderDome, and it makes us wonder if fans might get so used to this presentation that a return of actual crowds will look strange. The company is obviously pulling out all the stops to make sure the ThunderDome has a successful launch.
We will have complete coverage of Friday Night SmackDown right here at Ringside News.
