Asuka Is Sad Kairi Sane Left WWE, But Thinks She Will Win Tag Gold With Shayna Baszler

Asuka lost Kairi Sane as a partner when the Pirate Princess left WWE. The Empress Of Tomorrow was left alone, but not for long.

Shayna Baszler was paired up with Asuka this week on RAW. Their tandem proved successful, and there could be more of that team to come.

Asuka recently spoke to the New York Post through a translator. At first, she addressed Kairi Sane’s exit. She played it off like she’s still looking for her and she was confused. Truthfully, she’s sad to see her friend go.

“I’m still looking for her backstage, where Kairi is. I’m just really sad at this moment.”

When asked about her new team with Shayna Baszler, Asuka was very hopeful. She expressed the confidence that Baszler will be her tag team partner through a reign as tag team champions.

“I think we will be the tag-team champions, I teamed up with Shayna Baszler and I felt very comfortable with her.”

Asuka has a very good chance of leaving the Amway Center as a champion in WWE on Sunday. She is facing Sasha Banks and Bayley for the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles respectively. This could be an exciting time for Asuka, and the entire WWE Universe. Unfortunately, Kairi Sane couldn’t stick around to see the ThunderDome.
