Randy Orton and Matt Jackson recently had a little back and forth on Instagram. Then Matt Jackson used Being The Elite to fire another shot off to the Viper.

During Being The Elite this week, Jackson was looking for someone to help him with his segment geared toward the 50+ demographic. That is a demographic that WWE consistently scores well with, so AEW is looking to capture that audience.

Jackson said he was looking for something “boring, and slow, and plotting.” Then he said “it’s a good idea, but I don’t think if WWE would license out a Randy Orton match.”

So far The Viper hasn’t returned fire. We can only assume that he will eventually come up with some sort of a reply. This is an interesting little social media battle. Orton teased AEW interest last year, but then he signed a new multi-year contract with WWE.
