Xavier Woods’ Achilles injury is healing up, but he’s not revealing anything about a return date just yet. Right now the New Day member is still at home, but he’s feeling much better.

While speaking to the Two Man Power Trip, Xavier Woods stated that he’s feeling “alight.” He said there was some time when he was depressed and worried that he wouldn’t wrestle again, but some great friends were there for him.

Woods is feeling much better, but he’s still remaining tight lipped about a possible return.

“I will say I’m feeling alright and that’s all I will say. I was really really in a bad way mentally for like six weeks after the initial injury happened, I was depressed. It all came from the fear of not knowing if I would ever wrestle again. I was able to work through that with some really good friends like Kofi, E, Tyler Breeze and Rick Victor. I’m much better now, but no spoilers on a return date.”

Xavier Woods was injured while in Australia at a WWE live event on October 21st, 2019. He wasn’t even doing anything risky in the ring, but when he felt that pop, Woods knew he was injured. We’re coming up on a time when he could plausibly return soon.

We’ve followed Woods on his journey through recovery from getting out of surgery and feeling really good from the pain meds to present day. Hopefully, he’ll be back soon, but as he sits at home and waits for his return Big E is getting another shot at a singles run.
