WWE has a lot of Superstars that they can move around however they like. Vince McMahon has his own idea about who he wants to push in his company. This should never be overlooked. Paul Heyman had plans to push certain Superstars, but McMahon obviously has his own ideas.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink were Paul Heyman guys, thus their push was dropped when Heyman was fired. Thorne has already been sent back to NXT, but Brendan Vink hasn’t wrestled since March.
Brendan Vink is apparently someone that Vince McMahon could still have interest in according to Wrestling News. His size plays to his advantage in a big way.
Vince McMahon is said to like him because of his size (he’s 6’5 from Australia) but he’s willing to go slow with him. A WWE source described Vink as the perfect wrestler who is well-spoken and he is someone, like Drew McIntyre and John Cena, who looks great on camera and would carry himself like a star when he’s booked for mainstream TV interviews.
Vince McMahon likes big men and he always has. He also has a proclivity of continuing their push in the face of great opposition, especially from fans. Perhaps Brendan Vink will fit into Vince McMahon’s idea for RAW’s future better than Shane Thorne.
It appeared for a short time that MVP was taking Thorne and Vink under his wing. Perhaps there’s still room for Vink in the Hurt Business?
