Sammy Guevara returned to AEW Dynamite this week and it was a big surprise for fans. It was also a big surprise for Serpentico’s girlfriend when Guevara was revealed under his mask.

Guevara was suspended without pay following the #SpeakingOut movement. He said things on a podcast years ago that came back to haunt him.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan detailed the kind of sensitivity training that Guevara had to undergo. Guevara was remorseful for the entire situation and Khan believes that the training did him well.

“Sammy completed four weeks of extensive sensitivity training, and his curriculum included subject matters of tolerance, gender, race relations, and why people’s words matter. During his suspension, he was very contrite. I asked him to use that time to try and become a better person, and I think he did.”

“Sammy was off television for a month and suspended without pay for 30 days, and I think it was the right time for Sammy to come back because he’s shown that he’s very sorry and that he can change. He’s spent every day over the past month trying to prove that.”

AEW has yet to address the allegations against Jimmy Havoc. There were much heavier accusations regarding the UK star.

Sammy Guevara is back in AEW and set for a big ten-man tag team match next week as the Inner Circle is finally back together again.
