Plans change all the time. There were apparently intentions for Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to debut in a different way during Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary event according to Wrestling Inc.
It was reported that the Good Brothers were contacted by Scott D’Amore after they were released from WWE and he “tried hard to get them to sign.” Impact Wrestling is looking for bigger names on their roster.
Part of the original plan was for Anderson and Gallows to attack Tessa Blanchard during the Slammiversary main event. This was the Good Brothers’ idea. They wanted to get a ton of heat right from the jump and attacking Tessa Blanchard would have accomplished that.
Then Tessa Blanchard was fired from the company. She didn’t want to make the Impact Wrestling tapings or send in recorded content. Her fiance Daga was willing to go, but Impact Wrestling didn’t book him.
Gallows and Anderson signed “good deals” with Impact Wrestling, and they can work for NJPW once that situation opens again. In the end, the Good Brothers should be able to make what they were in WWE, if not a bit more.
