WWE Announces Another Match For SmackDown This Week

WWE has one more episode of SmackDown to tape before they need to go back to the Performance Center for more filming. The company added another match to this week’s show that will see two highly competitive teams collide.

Bayley and Sasha Banks are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. They will take on Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss this week in a non-title match.

WWE previously stated that these two teams will “ratchet up their rivalry” this week. It appears a having a match is how they are going accomplish that ratcheting.

Bayley will face Nikki Cross with the SmackDown Women’s Title on the line at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules. Sasha Banks will take on Asuka for the RAW Women’s Title during the same event. Alexa Bliss is currently not booked for a match, but it’s reasonable to assume she will be in Nikki Cross’ corner on July 19th.

Also slated for this week is The New Day defending the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura. Jeff Hardy will be on Miz TV. They will also air Braun Strowman vs Bray Wyatt from 2020 Money In The Bank.
