WWE released a number of Superstars on April 15th, including Lio Rush, and he was not brought back. He might not give WWE an option to re-hire him if he retires from in-ring competition.

The Man Of The Hour has focused on his music projects. He announced plans to step away from the pro wrestling world, sold his gear, and that seemed to be the end of it.

In a recent Instagram post, Lio Rush revealed that he will announce his “final match” on July 20th. He also included a well-produced video hyping the idea of time.

t’s been an amazing ride. 7.20.20 I will be announcing #TheFinalMatch.

Since his release from WWE some stories about butting heads with Triple H came out. He also wanted to wear a mask in NXT, but Triple H rejected that idea too.

Lio Rush is only 25-years-old, and still able to perform at a top level. If he is set to really announce his final match he will leave the business at an age far younger than most.
