The novel coronavirus hit America at full-force with a lot of contradicting information attached. To this day the battle about wearing masks wages on. Dolph Ziggler never took any chances and kept a mask on his face the entire time.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Dolph Ziggler explained that there were times when WWE didn’t know what they were supposed to do. Suggestions from the CDC varied and seemed to change on a consistent basis.
It didn’t matter to The Show Off whether he was suggested to wear a mask or not. He still keeps one on him at all times.
You will absolutely see me on Raw. We’ve been really cautious with everything, really washing down the ring and keeping everyone isolated. When we go to work, we’re tested. If we get a negative test, then we go to work. Even several months ago, when we weren’t exactly sure what we were being told to do by the CDC on a day-to-day basis, I just wanted to play it safe so I’ve been wearing a mask wherever I can. That’s in the gym, walking into a CVS, even during my walks outside—it’s making me work on my breath a little better.
Dolph Ziggler isn’t the only WWE Superstar who advocates for wearing a mask. Plenty of other Superstars such as Bayley have sent out similar messages. Kevin Owens also released a heartfelt message that people should wear masks as he shared a story about losing his wife’s grandfather to COVID-19.
WWE featured far more masks in the crowd this week on RAW. Let’s see if that practice continues.
