WWE discovered positive coronavirus test results across the company. That is all fans know for a fact right now. They have positive tests on the Superstar roster, in their staff, and on their production team. WWE won’t let Superstars reveal their positive tests. Now fans are left to guess who is sick and who is just off television.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed some top names who were missing from SmackDown this week. AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Otis, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and others were noticeable by their absences. That doesn’t mean that they are sick because they could have simply decided to go home instead.
“AJ, Daniel Bryan, and Sheamus were billed for stuff on the show, now they did advertised Sheamus for something next week, Either they tested positive, or they pulled themselves because people tested positive.”
“Also Otis, Tucker, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Mojo Rawley, and Chad Gable were guys who weren’t there. Mojo and Shorty G were working closely with Noble who tested positive he was agenting for their match last week. Rose and Deville are best friends and are always around and obviously Renee was interviewing Daniel Bryan and AJ in the middle of the ring last week, so you know there’s that.”
“Obviously backstage Otis and Mandy Rose were doing all these skits backstage. So whether they tested positive or pulled themselves off I don’t know. They were all very conspicuous by their absence.”
We’ll have to see who shows up on SmackDown next week. The company will be back at the WWE Performance Center on Thursday and Friday for another round of television tapings. Hopefully, they have more Superstars to choose from next time or they might be working with a very limited roster heading toward Extreme Rules.
