Matt Riddle debuted on WWE Friday Night SmackDown and he did it without wearing shoes. So far the Bro’s character and presentation haven’t been tampered with, but he’s very early into his run as a WWE Superstar.

If you ask the Original Bro, he doesn’t think WWE is going to change him. He didn’t wear shoes to his first meeting with Vince McMahon so they knew what Riddle brings to the table.

As Matt Riddle spoke to Ariel Helwani, he stated that there is little fear that anybody is going to change him. He presents a unique package and that originality is what he believes they are after.

“Still wrestling barefoot. Before all of this I had a meeting with Vince months ago before Mania, and I went to his headquarters with a full suit and flip flops and he saw that and he saw that that’s my thing. I haven’t worn shoes in years. I don’t think anybody wants to change me. I think they know what they’ve got and I bring something unique and original.”

Matt Riddle’s first feud is likely coming up soon, and the we’ll have to see what they have in store for him next. Riddle could break out and be a new face of the company if they use him correctly. The big question is whether WWE will ever make Riddle put on boots.

Booker T advised Matt Riddle to buy some wrestling boots in the past. Riddle didn’t seem to care what the two-time WWE Hall Of Famer suggested. He’s going to keep doing his own thing which saw him become a WWE Superstar already.
