Vince McMahon grew tired of waiting for Paul Heyman’s plan to build Superstars. He wanted big Superstars and he needed them now. Heyman was removed from his Executive Director position and now everything is different backstage.
Ringside News exclusively reported on the situation backstage. They totally revamped the creative process backstage.
We previously reported that there is a new process of pitching ideas to Vince McMahon. We have additionally learned exactly how different this new tactic is from the way Paul Heyman did things on Raw.
A source in the company explained to us that Paul Heyman wanted to “sell the concepts to Vince.” He wanted to “inspire and motivate” McMahon during their pitch sessions. The new idea is to simply pitch something to McMahon as quickly as possible, and get out before he gets bored.
If Heyman’s first pitch didn’t work, he wanted to brainstorm and work out an idea. Paul Heyman was “never in a rush to get out of there.”
The difference is also evident in the way Prichard and Heyman work with the writers. One tenured team member exclusively told Ringside News, “Prichard dictates to the writing staff. Heyman liked to collaborate.”
Heyman also left this position prior to the current backstage chaos caused by a novel coronavirus outbreak within the company. This was not a good time for a change in leadership.
