Vince McMahon didn’t see things the way Paul Heyman did, so he fired him from his role as Executive Director of RAW. Now the Superstars who were under Paul Heyman’s watch are very worried, and understandably so.
WWE has not filmed the RAW and SmackDown following Backlash. This was a rumor that Ringside News exclusively squashed. That being said, change could could happen as early as this Sunday.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed some Superstars who shouldn’t be worried. Then again, you never know what Vince McMahon will decide to do. This especially goes for guys like Aleister Black and Andrade who Paul Heyman was very much behind.
“I expect everyone to be affected except for Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair, Seth Rollins, and McIntyre. I could be wrong about one or two of them too. It’s up for Vince. There’s nobody pushing for these other guys.”
“I know Vince is not as high on some of these guys as Heyman was. As far as which ones, I mean time will tell. Aleister Black and Andrade are I think two which doesn’t mean they’re going to get buried, but it doesn’t mean they’re not either.”
“I do expect — not week one, but at about week 5 from now we’ll have a real good idea about what Vince wants as opposed to what Vince was fighting for and I think that it will be certain guys that will you know probably do better.”
We’ll have to see who Vince McMahon decides to push. It’s very likely that Vince McMahon knows what he is going to do. It was noted that “Vince already makes up his mind about everything anyway.”
This could be a very scary time for a young WWE Superstar. Hopefully, Vince McMahon doesn’t kill all of the momentum that Paul Heyman spent months trying to build.
