WWE axed Paul Heyman from his role as Executive Director of RAW. Fans could see some immediate changes.
WWE has yet to film RAW and SmackDown after Backlash. They will do that on Monday. That being said, nothing is set in stone in regards to this Sunday’s pay-per-view.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that WWE likely has a RAW show all laid out for Monday. Odds are Vince McMahon is going to come in and change everything he can prior to taping.
“Usually when they make a change they make it quick. I mean there’s stuff that was laid out. I’m sure there was a RAW show largely laid out already. Whether they do it or not I don’t know. I’m gonna guess that they don’t do the RAW show because Vince rips up the show on the day-of anyway so this one it’s gonna be a new direction.”
It was noted that “people’s fingerprints aren’t hard to decipher these days.” Fans will see an apparent change in direction, especially if they start seeing Paul Heyman guys start taking losses that do not benefit their characters.
It was stated that some changes on the RAW side could be seen during Backlash, but SmackDown is probably going to be left alone.
