How John Morrison’s Opinion of Roman Reigns Has Changed Since WWE Return

WWE or elsewhere, John Morrison has always been a fan-favorite Superstar. Ever since his return to WWE, fans have been wanting to see Morrison in some high-profile matches.

One of them is against former WWE Champion and face of the company – Roman Reigns.

Back in 2016, during an appearance on The World According To Wrestling Podcast, John Morrison was asked if he wanted to get in the ring with Roman Reigns. Morrison had said that he would love to do it in 10 years when Reigns…. when he actually learns how to wrestle.

While speaking to GameSpot, Morrison addressed his past remarks and talked about his experience getting in the ring with Reigns.

Morrison said that he has gotten in the ring with the Big Dog once since his return and that has shown him how Reigns has come into his own.

Someone asked me if I wanted to wrestle [Reigns]. I said, ‘Yeah, I’d love to wrestle that guy. Maybe in 10 years once he learns how to wrestle.’ And they screen capped that with a really jerky picture of me smiling. And I stand by that then, but I’ve been in the ring with him once now, right down to seeing the caliber of matches that he’s capable of now. That’s another example of a guy who has really come into his own.

Morrison will team up with The Miz to fight Braun Strowman in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match for the Universal Championship at Backlash this Sunday.
